William "J.J." Mosley

   William "J.J." Mosley, 76, of 1364B Belvidere Road, Belvidere, NC, went to see his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from his home where he was being cared for by his wife and family.

   Mr. Mosley was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and was the son of the late Samuel Hendrix Mosley and Flora Rodrigues Mosley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Patricia Mosley.

   A graduate of Elizabeth City State University, he majored in History and minored in both Education and Criminal Justice.

   Surviving is his wife of almost 35 years, Catherine Byrum Mosley; his five sisters, Florence Thurman, Juanita Rouse (Richard), Georgia Stone (Gary), Virginia Hernandez, and Cindy Mongone; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

   A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in Happy Home Pentecostal Holiness Church in Tyner, N.C., and will be conducted by The Reverend Frederick Joe Griffith. Friends may visit with the family in the social hall of the church following the service.
