Regina Toppin Anderson

   Regina Ray Toppin Anderson, 60, of Iva, SC, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

   Born March 13, 1961, in Paris, France to military parents, Shirley and SFC Haurice Toppin, she later graduated from Ferris State University with three degrees in the medical field. She loved singing, playing the guitar, crafts, gardening, and most of all she loved people and caring for them. When she was young, instead of stray animals, she brought home stray people. She will be sorely missed by many, but the family rejoices that she was a child of the One True God and is with Him now.

   Preceded in death by her father, Regina is survived by her mother, Shirley Toppin; her husband, Fred Anderson, Sr.; her brother, Bruce Toppin (Melinda), four nephews and two nieces, Tradd Toppin (Joy), twins, Owen and Audrey Toppin, Troy Toppin (Paige), Levi Toppin, and Natalie Toppin Butler; four aunts, Shirley T. Kirby, Gloria Anderson, Barbara Sweeney, and Margie Trudeau; two uncles, Earl Toppin (June) and Larry Toppin (Martha); and several cousins including, Charlotte Nixon, (Leon), E.C. Toppin (Brenda), Ron Toppin (Carol), Fred Spruill (Mary), David Spruill (Debra), Ann Brinkley White (Paul), Ricky Toppin (Tabatha), Paul Kirby, and Pat Shumate (A.J.), all of Chowan County with many other cousins and friends from other states.

   A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14^th, at 2:00 p.m. in on the family plot in Beaver Hill Cemetery and will be conducted by a favorite cousin, The Rev. Joey Nixon. Friends are invited to visit with the family in the Center Hill Baptist Church community fellowship building immediately following the service.
