Lee Meads

   Allen Lee Meads, 28, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023.

   Lee was born in Pasquotank County on February 22, 1995. A graduate of Pasquotank High School, he worked as a freelance tattoo artist. Among his many enjoyments in life included his love of the beach and playing his guitar.

   Surviving are his father and mother, Keith and Tonya Meads of Elizabeth City; his biological mother, Angelique Smith (Robert Snook) of South Mills; his daughter, Adalyn Norlund; his sister, Cortney Weeks (Tyler) and their children, Chandler, Wyatt, and Weston; paternal grandparents, Allen and Betty Meads, all of Elizabeth City; maternal grandparents, Warren and Joyce Alexander of Elizabeth City, Loran Ray Crum (Cheri) of Moyock and Betty Spruill (Phillip) of Elizabeth City; two aunts, Tracy Chappell (Jacque) and Crystal Lamb (Louis); an uncle, Glenn Meads (Jamie), all of Elizabeth City; and many other aunts, uncles, and extended family members and friends.

   He was preceded in death by a nephew, Caiden Alexander Weeks.

   A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, at 6:00 p.m. in Fountain of Life Church. Friends may visit with the family on either Thursday or Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in Keith and Tonya's home, 148 Danielle Drive, Elizabeth City, or in the church foyer immediately following the service on Saturday. Casual dress is encouraged for those attending the service.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to any mental health awareness organization.
