Brenda Jean McClenney Wolf, 67, of 202 Pasquenoke Trail, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, February 2, 2023 in ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville.
Brenda was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 17, 1956, and was the daughter of Mary Frances Hawkins Johnson of Gilmer, Texas, and the late Edward Curtis McClenney. Retired from Leon Nixon’s Catering, she attended Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Brenda never met a stranger. Her son Daniel remembers her buying his friends Christmas presents, sometimes to the point that Christmas at her house would be better than their own. She was known to feed anyone who needed a meal, or give anyone a place to stay. Her home was a place of restoration for broken souls. She never judged anyone and always kept a smile. She will be missed by so many.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Daniel Jacob Wolf (Whitney) of Lincolnton; her daughter, Tina Drake (Ed) of Hope Mills; her sister, Gloria Rosser of Gilmer, TX; and six grandchildren, Malachi Jacob Wolf, Lucas Christian Wolf, and Bethany, Samantha, Trenton, and Corey Drake.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 11th, at 11:00 a.m. in Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church and will be conducted by Pastor Danny Gurganus. The burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
