Barbara Fowler Williams

   Barbara Fowler Williams, 83, of 805 Arrowhead Trail, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, December 1, 2022 at her home.

   Mrs. Williams was born in Danville, Virginia on January 15, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Robert Woodrow Fowler, Sr. and Dorothy Louise Callahan Fowler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Elizabeth Williams Wallace.

   A 1957 graduate of Norview High School in Norfolk, Virginia, where she was the class Valedictorian, she had worked for the Norfolk School Board, as a bookkeeper with Norfolk & Western Railroad, with Pubsco in magazine sales and marketing, and since moving to the Arrowhead Beach community, with Wal-Mart of Elizabeth City. She was a Baptist by faith.

   Surviving is her husband of 65 years, George Dempsey Williams; her daughter, Pamela Lynn Nix (husband, Larry) of Franklin, VA; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.

   Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5^th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by the Rev. Junior White. The burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will visit in the funeral home the hour prior to services.
