William Robert "Bill" Provencher

William Robert “Bill” Provencher, 86, of Edenton, NC, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025, in his home where he was being cared for by family.

Mr. Provencher was born in Yonkers, NY on November 28, 1938, and was the son of the late William Francis and Julia Vershowsky Provencher. Retired as a dock supervisor in the trucking industry, he was a Catholic by faith. He had a deep love for his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Antoinette Gallo Provencher; three daughters, Kathleen Johnson (husband, Frank) of Watsontown, PA, Louise Snyder (husband, Richard) of Tyner, and Debra Provencher of Edenton; his son, William J. Provencher of Edenton; six grandchildren, Francis Johnson, Christopher Provencher, Justin Fritzsch, Maria Knight, Anthony Provencher and Julia Provencher; and three great-grandchildren, Dylan Johnson, Gabrielle Provencher and Grayson Provencher.

A private service will be held by the family.
