William Lewis Harrell, Jr.

   William Lewis Harrell, Jr., 25 of 260 NC Highway 137, Gatesville, NC, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023.

   Born in Suffolk, VA on September 8, 1997, he was the son of William Lewis, Sr. and Lelia Bass Harrell of Gatesville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William M. and Catherine Vann Harrell, and maternal grandparents, Waverly G. and Lelia Hardison Bass.

   Employed as a heavy equipment operator, he enjoyed the outdoors, trucks, riding ATV’s, and was always willing to help others.

   Surviving in addition to his parents is his sister, Michelle Thorne (husband, Michael) of Gates; a niece, Katherine Copeland; a nephew, Caleb Copeland; and cousin, Mark Kinsey (wife, Sharon).

   A service will be held at a later date.
