William Lee "Bill" Keller

   William Lee “Bill” Keller, 81, of 117 Cheyenne Trail, Edenton, NC, died Sunday, March 17, 2024, in ECU Health Chowan Hospital.

   Mr. Keller was born on May 2, 1942, in Massillon, Ohio and was the son of the late Paul and Lillie Mae Mason Keller.

   A retired Lieutenant from the City of Portsmouth (Virginia) Police Department where he served its citizens for 33 years, after moving to the Arrowhead Beach community near Edenton he was employed as a jailer with the Chowan County Sheriff's Department. A member of the of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Portsmouth Moose Lodge, the Amateur Radio Operators Club, and the Air Force Retirees Association, he had served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

   Surviving is his wife of over 41 years, Elizabeth L. “Betty” Davis Keller; his children, William David Keller, Aimee Keller, and Eric Keller (wife, Michelle), all of Portsmouth; his sister, Sharon of Suffolk, VA, and his brother, Paul of Colorado; and six grandchildren.

   In accordance with wishes, no services are planned.
