Velma Sielski Marchand

   Velma Ruth Sielski Marchand, 78, of 983 Acorn Hill Road, Hobbsville, NC, died Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie.

   Mrs. Marchand was born in Bremerton, Washington on December 2, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Mack and Ruth Timina Pergoline Sielski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Allen Marchand; her sister, Ruth Talley; and by her brother, Victor Sielski.

   Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Alfred Joseph Marchand, Jr.; two sons, Alfred J. Marchand, III and wife, Nancy, of Newsoms, VA, and Daniel Lee Marchand and wife, Theresa, of Chesapeake, VA; two sisters, Virginia Muhlenbruch of Chesapeake and Benita Stump of Texas; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

   In accordance with her wishes, a small gathering for the family is being planned.
