Travis Walker

   Herbert Travis Walker, 57, of 017 Catherine’s Creek Road, Hobbsville, NC, died Saturday, January 27, 2024 in his home.

   Travis was born in Pasquotank County on June 18, 1966. A graduate of Gates County High School, he had formerly managed the Corner Market at the crossroads in the Joppa community, and earlier had operated a truck for Joe Towe White in Hertford. A member of Warwick Baptist Church, during his school years he was a member of the Gates County Junior Rescue Squad.

   Surviving is his mother, Gloria Spivey Twine (husband, Graham) of Hobbsville; his father, Delano R. “Chuck” Walker of Roper; his identical twin brother, Tracy Walker of Hobbsville; and many extended family members and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his sister, Diana Lassiter, who had lived in Conway.

   A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, February 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. in the Warwick Baptist Church Cemetery and will be conducted by family friend, The Rev. Walter Johnston. Friends and family members will be invited to share their memories and thoughts of Travis.
