Thurman Wilson Onley, Jr.

   Thurman Wilson Onley, Jr., 68, of Hertford, NC, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 in Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation, Hertford.

   Mr. Onley was born in Pasquotank County on October 17, 1953, and was the son of the late Thurman Wilson Onley, Sr. and Evelyn Christine Cuthrell Onley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Herrmann.

   A retired cabinet maker, he was a member of First Christian Church in Elizabeth City, had served as a past president in the Cosmopolitan Club, and had been active in the Loyal Order of Moose #1847.

   Surviving is his brother, Brian Onley (Shelley); three nephews, Andrew Onley (Camilla), Charles Onley (Brittany) and Jake Herrmann; a niece, Anna Meads (Kris); a "granddaughter" April Bunch; four great-nephews, Brayden, Bryson, Sabasian, and Logan; and three great-nieces, Kyndall, Bella, and Sophia Rose.

   In accordance with his wishes, private services will be held.
