Teddy Sablon

   Edwin Blake "Teddy" Sablon, 38, of Hertford, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, in his home.

   Born in Essex County, NJ on August 22, 1981, he was the son of William Allen Sablon and Edwina Wright Lane. A self-taught and talented musician, he was a founding member of the band, Guta. Teddy moved to eastern North Carolina in 1992, originally to the Elizabeth City area, but traveled the world sharing his musical talent with others and with various cultures. He grew up in the fellowship of the Catholic faith.

   Surviving in addition to his parents are his four brothers, Andrew G., Louis F., William A. and Jean F. Sablon; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were like family.

   A Mass of Resurrection will be held Friday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, Elizabeth City. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation in the church immediately following the service.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to God's Work Shop, 110 Brantwood Drive, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
