Sidney Hershell Wilkins

   Sidney Hershell Wilkins, 56, of 317 Seaview Drive, Edenton, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019, in his home.

   Sidney was born in Pasquotank County on October 11, 1962, and was the son of the late Shelbert F. and Edna Pauline Scott Wilkins. A Water Treatment Plant Operator with the Chowan County Water Department, he attended Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Parker.

   Surviving are his wife, Laura Lee McDaniel Wilkins; three daughters, Angela Heninger of Milwaukee, WI, Wendy Heninger of Edenton, and Julie Bell of Michigan; four sisters, Joyce Ambrose, Robin Wilkins, and Daphne Brickhouse, all of Elizabeth City, and Pauline Lane of Virginia; three brothers, Shelbert Wilkins, Doak Wilkins, and Darrell Wilkins, all of Elizabeth City; and five grandchildren.

   A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church and will be conducted by his pastor, The Rev. Danny Gurganus. A private burial will be in Beaver Hill Cemetery.
