Sidney Allen Perry

   Sidney Allen Perry, 90, of Hertford, NC, died Sunday, May 28, 2023 in Chowan River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Edenton.

   Mr. Perry was born in Bertie County on May 17, 1933, and was the son of the late James Lessie, Sr. and Dora Lee Perry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Williams Perry; and by a son, Ronnie Allen Perry. A retired farmer, he was an Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.

   Surviving are his two daughters, Yvonne Harrell (Brent) of Sunbury and Penny Stallings of Kitty Hawk; a son, Dennis Perry, also of Kitty Hawk; a brother, James Lessie “Tinny” Perry, Jr. of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren, Tracy Ward (Shaun), Miles Perry (Claire), Gavin Perry, Tyler Perry (Amanda), and Millie Howard (Walt); a step-grandson, Dustin Harrell; and four great-grandsons, Jackson Perry, Conley Howard, and Michael and Nathan Ward.

   At his request, no services are planned.
