Sherell Lee Bryant

   Sherell Lee Bryant, 89, of 339 Taylor Mill Road, Eure, NC, died Sunday, October 22, 2023 in his home where he was cared for by his family.

   Mr. Bryant was born in Harnett County on June 16, 1934 and was the son of the late Amie and Mattie Norris Bryant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eula Mae Stevens.

   A retired mechanic from Estes Express Lines, he had also worked as a driver with Venture Tours. A member, deacon, and Sunday School teacher at Eure Baptist Church, before moving to the community some 32 years ago, he and his wife were faithful members of Immanuel Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA. His faith extended beyond his church affiliation to his membership and longtime support of The Gideons International.

   Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Yvonne Long Bryant; their children, Pamella Bryant Smith (husband, Larry) of Suffolk, VA and Dwaine Lee Bryant of Norfolk, VA; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

   A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 26th, at 11:00 a.m. in Eure Baptist Church and will be conducted by his pastor, Dr. Wayne Proctor, assisted by the Rev. David Libengood and the Rev. Tracy Gregory, both of Immanuel Baptist Church. Friends may visit with the family in the fellowship hall immediately following the service or all other times at the residence.
