Sandra Gibson Slade

   Sandra Denise Gibson Slade, 49, of Hertford, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in her home.

   Mrs. Slade was born in Norfolk, VA on November 21, 1971, and was the daughter of the late William Earl Gibson and Dorothy Ann Nix Gibson. A homemaker, she was a member of Towne South Church of Christ in Elizabeth City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Robin and Barbara Gibson.

   Surviving are her husband of 25 years, James Morris Slade, III; five daughters, Samantha Butler (Lonnie) of Elizabeth City, Courtney Slade of Portsmouth, VA, Kristy Slade of Fort Eustis, VA, Faith Slade, and Grace Slade, both of Hertford; a son, Everson Wood (Shante) of Portsmouth; a brother, Allen Gibson (Catrina) of Ahoskie; and six grandchildren, Jamari, Jamontae, Miyah, Autumn, Daniel Jr., and Josiah.

   A memorial service will be held at a later date.
