Sandra Bunch Moore

   Sandra Faye Bunch Moore, 76, of 2022 NC Highway 37 South, Hobbsville, NC, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton.

   Mrs. Moore was born in Chowan County on October 30, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Elisha Timothy “Pete” Bunch and Beulah Modlin Bunch. The retired owner and operator of Rountree & Riddick General Merchandise in Sunbury, she was member of Warwick Baptist Church.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jimmy Bunch.

   Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Oley Lee Moore; a daughter, Andrea M. Benton and husband, Warren, of Morehead City; a son, Garry L. Moore and wife, Cheryl, of Sunbury; three sisters, Celia Hollowell and Carolyn Copeland, both of Hobbsville, and Cathy Parker of Suffolk, VA; and four grandchildren, Lance Benton of Morehead City, Michaila Daniel (Peter) of Garner, Rachel Moore of St. Cloud, MN, and Caleb Moore of Sunbury.

   A graveside memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Bunch Family Cemetery on Selwin Road, and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. Kip Vinson. Friends may join the family at the residence.

   Memorial contributions may be made to Warwick Baptist Church, in care of Cindy Harrell, 433 Gliden Road, Hobbsville, NC 27946.

   The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Vidant Chowan Hospital for the comfort given to their loved one during her time of transition.
