Russell Lee Story

   Russell Lee Story, 88, of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in his home where he was being cared for by family.

   Mr. Story was born in Beardstown, IL on April 22, 1934, and was the son of the late John Truman and Ruth Sturman Story. A veteran, he retired as a Chief Petty Officer with the US Navy.

   Surviving is his wife of nearly 50 years, Anna Marie Guckin Story; two sons, Timothy Lee Story (April) of Hertford and Stephen Story (Jan) of Highland Park, UT; a step-daughter, Carolann Lanza of Philadelphia, PA; a step-son, Scott Roche (Lori) of Orlando, FL; a special niece, Sandy Blumenshine; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

   A private service will be held in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
