Ronald Beale Inge

Ronald Beale Inge, 65, of South Mills, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Duke University Medical Center with his loving wife, Lori by his side.

Ronald was born in Elizabeth City but was raised in South Mills, NC. Ronald was the husband of Lori Brown Inge and the son of the late Ernest Beale Inge and Jean Etheridge Inge, who survives. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Ronald was a Firefighter Specialist with the City of Chesapeake, VA for 31 years where he loved his fire family dearly. Ronald was a former Assistant Chief of South Mills Volunteer Fire Department. He was currently employed with Fire Connections, INC in Rocky Mount, NC where he continued his love for fire trucks and the fire service. Ronald was very strong in knowledge of the fire service, and he passed that along to the Facebook page he ran, called the Firetruck Guru. He mentored many, which has left an impact on many people throughout Eastern, NC and around the state. Ronald’s legacy will live in each of you.

Survivors include his wife, Lori; mother, Jean Inge; daughter, Brittany Inge; son, Taylor Joseph Inge (Brittney); step-daughter, Brittany Greenamyer (Ralph); stepson, Lucas Madden; and grandchildren, Hannah, Carson, Hailey, Leila and Jude Greenamyer.

In addition to his father, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Lee Inge.

Funeral services celebrating Ronald’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Trinity Methodist Church, 104 Main Street, South Mills, NC 27976 with Rev. Wayne Wood officiating. The family will greet friends with a reception and a meal at the South Mills Ruritan Club, 400 Main Street, South Mills, NC immediately following the service.
