Rita Webb Eure Foster

   Rita Carolyn Webb Eure Foster, 89, formerly of Gates, NC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2020. She was a good and faithful servant and will be greeted in Heaven by many of her friends and loved ones gone before.

   Mrs. Foster was born in Norfolk, VA on January 25, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Lonnie Glenn and Odette Turner Webb. She had retired as a bookkeeper with Carroll’s Garage in Gates. Raised in Gatesville United Methodist Church, after marriage she and her husband built their home in Gates and became members of Kittrell’s United Methodist Church. Other memberships enjoyed included the Gatesville Chapter of The Order of The Eastern Star. Rita always enjoyed the fellowship of her family and friends.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Parker Eure, second husband, Norman Clifton Foster; her brothers, Glenn and Carl; and her daughter-in-law, Kathleen McCullogh Eure.

   Surviving are her sons and their families: Robert Glenn “Bobby” Eure, wife Donna, and their son Steve, his wife Carlie, and their children Claire and Oliver Eure; and Harvey Parker Eure, and he and Kathy’s daughters, Megan Elizabeth Roebuck, her husband Steven; Kristen Kathleen Preissner, her husband Shawn; and Jennifer Lindsay Eure. Also surviving are her brother, Lloyd Webb and his wife, Jane Tinkham Webb and their family; and sisters-in-law, Lida Webb and Pat Webb, and their families.

   A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Gatesville Cemetery and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. Casey Estler.
