Richard Alfred Yaiser

Richard Alfred “Dick” Yaiser, 79, formerly of Brielle, NJ and more recently of Edenton, NC, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021.

Richard was born on October 28, 1941 to loving parents Alphonse Nicholas Yaiser and Loretta Marie Nolan Yaiser, all of Jersey City. A graduate of Snyder High School and  St. Peter’s College, Dick spent the first half of his career in varied management roles for Continental Can Company, American Can Company and Wang Computers. The last 20 years of his career were spent building his own executive recruiting firm with a dedicated focus on the pharmaceutical industry.

A former member of the Manasquan River Yacht Club, he had many fond memories of his time with the sailing community and their adventures on the Manasquan River, Barnegat Bay and Block Island Sound.

Richard was predeceased in death by his loving parents and is survived by his daughter Ayme Yaiser, son Marc Hayes, and three grandchildren.

A Mass will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church in Edenton on Monday, March 29th, at 9:00 a.m. He will be reunited with his parents at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Rahway, NJ later this spring. Specifics for that ceremony and celebration of life will follow.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in his name has been established with St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Incredibly proud of his 21+ year sobriety, the family asks that when you next raise a glass of your favorite non-alcoholic beverage, please toast his homecoming with a simple “fair winds & following seas” until our paths cross again.
