Richard Lee Narron

  Richard Lee Narron, 65, of Edenton, NC, and formerly a longtime resident of Hertford, NC, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 in Edenton House.

 Born in Pasquotank County on July 25, 1958, Richard was the son of the late Leslie Lee and Sarah Louvinia Caddy Narron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Narron, and by a nephew, John Copeland. A member of Berea Church of Christ, he enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to both gospel and country music.

 Surviving is his sister, Sarah Narron Copeland (husband, Arthur) of Hertford; two nephews, David Copeland (wife, Allison), also of Hertford and Josh Copeland of Hendersonville; a great-niece, Casey Copeland; and a great-nephew, Jacob Copeland.

 Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Berea Church of Christ, 1664 New Hope Road, Hertford, and will be conducted by Minister Lee Modlin. A private burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and in the social hall of the church immediately following the service on Thursday.
