Rebecca Bunch

   Fannie Rebecca “Becky” Bunch, 64, of 425 S. Broad Street, Edenton, NC, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018, in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.

   Becky was born in Burlington, NC, on October 20, 1954, and was the daughter of the late Raymond Browning Bunch, Sr. and Tressie Hughes Bunch. A journalist, she worked with, and formerly served as the Editor of The Chowan Herald, Edenton’s hometown newspaper, for over 40 years. She was a member of Edenton Baptist Church.

   Surviving are her sister, Gail Bunch Davenport and husband, Craig, of Manteo; her brother, Raymond B. Bunch, Jr. of Edenton; three nieces, Toni Mize, Craigen Davenport, and Jenilee Catri (Anthony), three nephews, Zack Renner, Ricky Mize, Jr. (Kristie), and Christopher Mize (Wendy); and great- nieces and great-nephews, Marcus Mize, Meredith Mize, Robbie Kephart, Keyana Britt, Joshua Britt, Haylee Roughton, Angel Mize, Abe Renner, and Mercy Catri.

   A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Edenton Baptist Church and will be conducted by the Rev. David Brooks and Dr. James Horton. Friends may join the family Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton.
