Raymond Griffin

   Raymond Griffin, 45, of Tyner, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton.

   Mr. Griffin was born in Pasquotank County on September 15, 1973, and was the son of David S. and Linda Spellman Griffin of Elizabeth City. He was employed in the Public Works Department for the Town of Edenton for nearly 20 years.

   Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Lottie Simon Griffin; their sons, Raymond Jamal Griffin and Aaron Jerome Griffin, both of the home; his brother, David Wendell Griffin of Tampa, FL; his mother-in-law, Jean Simon of Elizabeth City; and many extended family members and friends.

   Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by the Rev. Lewis Fisher. Friends may join the family on Saturday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for the benefit of their sons’ college education fund.
