Randall Thomas Dixon

 Randall Thomas “Randy” Dixon, 69, of 2014-B Rocky Hock Road, Edenton, NC, died Thursday, January 23, 2025, in ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville.

 Randy was born in Chowan County on May 24, 1955, and was the son of Jackie Hall Dixon of Edenton and the late Charles Thomas “C.T.” Dixon, Jr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marsha Gregory.

 Randy had been employed in the family business, Dixon Logging.

 Surviving in addition to his mother is his daughter, Jade McCoy (husband, Kyle, and grandchildren, Jaxon, Amelia, and Emerson) of Tyner; his sister, Teresa Bateman (husband, Ray), and brother-in-law, Thomas Gregory, all of Edenton; two nieces, Jennifer Gregory Spivey (husband, Kelly, and their sons, Jacob, Graham, and Layton) of Washington, NC, and Kimberly Bateman Brower (husband, J.B., and their children, Lilly, Sadie, and Harris) of Edenton; and many other extended family members.

 A memorial service will be held Monday, January 27th, at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home and Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by longtime family friend, The Rev. Bernie Hurdle. Friends are invited to visit with the family in the funeral home immediately following the service, or all other times at his mother’s home, 2016 Rocky Hock Road, Edenton. The burial will be private in Beaver Hill Cemetery at a later time.
