Patrick Marco Phillips

   Patrick Marco Phillips, 26, of 300 Breezy Banks Road, Roper, NC, died Thursday, May 14, 2020 in his home where he was cared for by his family.

   Patrick was born in Chowan County on July 1, 1993, and was the son of Brian Marco Phillips of Edenton and Tracy Patrick Phillips-Berk of Roper. Before health issues disabled him, he had worked in landscaping and lawn maintenance. Baptized in the fellowship of Macedonia Baptist Church as a child, since moving to Washington County he had attended Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church. An avid outdoorsman, he loved all types of hunting and fishing.

   Patrick was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Harlin Patrick; and his paternal grandparents, Jean and Terry Marco Phillips.

   Surviving with his parents is his daughter, Kennedy Brooke Sutton; a sister, Alyssa Berk; a brother, Evan Berk; and his maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Rodriguez, all of Roper.

   An informal gathering for family and friends will be Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Piney Grove F.W.B. Church Fellowship Hall. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. and will be held in the Church, conducted by Pastor Charles Reber. The burial in the church cemetery will follow the service.
