Patricia Morgan Hartman

   Patricia Morgan “Pat” Hartman, of 115 Morris Circle, Edenton, NC, died Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in her home where she was being cared for by her family.

   Pat was born in Pasquotank County on February 24, 1948, and was the daughter of the late Daniel Webster Morgan, Jr. and Doris Jean Harris Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert “Jim” Hartman; her son, Daniel Carl “Danny” Hartman; and by her sister, Beverly Ann Morgan “Bev” Peoples.

   A beautician for 50 years, she was known by many as “Mema”. She dedicated her life to her family and always put everyone else’s needs before her own. Enjoyments included gardening and being in the kitchen cooking meals for her family. But no matter what she was doing around the house, she never, ever, left to go anywhere without her hair fixed, her make-up on, and her nails freshly done!

   Surviving is her daughter, Nicole Hartman Christopher (husband, Steve); her daughter-in-law, Stephanie Hartman; six grandchildren, Alyssa Hartman, Nicholas Hartman (wife, Heather), Taylor Haislip, Morgan Haislip, Aidan Hartman, and Liam Hartman; six great-grandchildren, Natalie Jethro, Lauren Hartman, and Cartison, Anthony, Rayden, and Savannah Haislip; and other extended family and friends.

   A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 28th, at 2:00 p.m. in Access Point Church and will be conducted by Pastor A.J. Layton. Friends may visit with the family in the church immediately following the service.
