Nancy Davis Meads

   Nancy Lynn Davis Meads, 62, of 907 Cedar Street, Elizabeth City, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in her home where she was being cared for by family.

   Mrs. Meads was born in Pasquotank County on April 28, 1961, and was the daughter of Ann Tartagni Davis of Elizabeth City and the late Clarence Holloway Davis. She was baptized at Towne South Church of Christ and retired as an office administrator from the North Carolina Department of Transportation following 20 years of employment. Nancy was passionate, fierce, honest, voicetress, empathetic, caring and one of the most loving women; with a smile and laugh that could light up a room.

   In addition to her mother, surviving is her husband of 14 years, William Barkwell Meads, Jr.; children, Katherine Glenn Brickhouse (Brandon) of Elizabeth City, Jacob Benjamin Pritchard (Lauren Hancock) of Wilmington, Tara Meads (Lisa Twente) of Arlington, MA, Holly Evans (Andrew) of Edenton, Lauren Underhill (Alex) of Camden, Erin Harrell (Chris) of Southern Shores, and Will Meads (Heather) of Elizabeth City; a sister, Julia Davis Bambrick (Phil) of Flowery Branch, GA; a brother, Paul Holloway Davis of Elizabeth City; 16 grandchildren, Luke, Sam, Jack and Gracie Brickhouse, Andon Blackowicz, Harper and Hudson Evans, Reese and Pierce Underhill, Graham, Grey, and Elle Harrell, and Lilly, Emma, Leah, and Wells Meads; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

   In accordance with her wishes, private services will be held.
