Myrtle Williams Perry

   Myrtle Gordon Williams Perry, 82, formerly of Hertford, NC, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, in Waterbrooke Assisted Living of Elizabeth City.

   Mrs. Perry was born in Perquimans County on March 26, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Claude Willis and Myrtle White Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Willis Williams.

   Surviving are her daughter, Paula Perry and husband, Kirk Hile, of Charlotte; two sons, Scott Perry and wife, Kim, and Chris Perry and wife, Clarissa; four grandchildren, Charlsie Perry, Matthew Perry, Brittany Perry Owens and husband, Brian, and Collin Perry and wife, Chelsea; a great-granddaughter, Brynlee Gray Owens, all of Hertford; and a nephew, Wes Williams of New York.

   A private service will be held. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, Hertford, is handling arrangements.

   To honor Myrtle's compassionate heart for animals, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Northeastern NC, Elizabeth City, or the Tri-County Animal Shelter, Tyner.
