Murray Monds Winslow

  Murray Monds Winslow, 61, of 143 Lawrence Lane, Gates, NC, died Friday, August 9, 2024, in ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville.

  Mr. Winslow was born in Hertford County on December 19, 1962, and was the son of the late Charlie N. and Sybil Monds Winslow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mellisa Dawson Winslow, and by his “brother”, Ernie.

  A sales representative with Providential Structures specializing in storage buildings, garages, and carports, his customers became his friends, and his coworkers were like his family.

  Surviving are his children, Allie (Jeff), Kallie (Matt), Keri, and Josh (Brandi); his sisters, Carolyn (husband, Ray, deceased), Charlotte (husband, Ron, deceased) and Sharon (Sandy); and 10 grandchildren, Araya, Brooke, Joshua, Reese, Lonnie, Bryson, Grady, Joanna, Brelyn, and Kaylee. Also surviving are Mellisa’s family, her mother, Dorothy Dawson, and sisters, Annie (Kelly) and Melanie (Ernie). Murray also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended members of the Winslow, Monds, and Dawson families, as well as countless friends.

  A gathering for family and friends will be held Tuesday, August 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Drum Hill Hunt Club, 175 Drum Hill Hunt Club Lane in Gates.
