Mona Christian Evick

   Mona Refa Christian Evick, 61, of 120 Powhatan Trail, Edenton, NC, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018, in VCU Medical Center, Richmond, VA.

   Mrs. Evick was born in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on August 28, 1957, and was the daughter of the late Loy Burman and Eleanor Jane Millard Christian. She was formerly employed in the Garden Shop at Leary Plant Farm & Nursery.

   Surviving are her husband, George Robert "Bobby" Evick; three children, Bruce Englehardt of Greenville, and Katelyn Evick and Christian Evick, both of Edenton; two sisters, Toni Rutsch and husband, Wayne, of Chesapeake, VA; and Patty Taylor of Tumwater, Washington; and four grandchildren, Nathan, Anthony, Johnny, and Emily.

   In accordance with her wishes, no services are planned. The family asks that flowers be omitted, and contributions be made to one’s favorite charity.
