Michael Anthony Scalpi

   Michael Anthony Scalpi, 75, of Arapahoe Trail, Edenton, NC, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.

   Mr. Scalpi was born in Norfolk, VA on June 13, 1943, and was the son of the late Ernest and Julia Oakes Scalpi. An entrepreneur, he was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Windsor. He was an Air Force veteran.

   Surviving are his two sons, Shane Scalpi (Robin) of Wappingers Falls, NY, and Michael Scalpi of Wellington, FL; his daughter, Michele Scalpi of West Haven, CT; his brother, Ernest Scalpi of Newburgh, NY; five grandchildren, Dominick, Samantha, Shannon, Christina, and Leanne; a great-granddaughter, Ava; and special friends, Shirley O'Loughlin, Ali VanNorman, JoAnne Gummere, Mary Dockery, and Leslie Lippincott.

   A Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, December 8 at 12 noon in St. Anne Catholic Church. Friends may join the family in the Church Hall immediately following the service.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Edenton-Chowan Food Pantry, PO Box 643, Edenton, NC 27932.
