Michael Louis Mills

 Michael Louis Mills, 84, of Tomball, TX, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, in ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville, NC.

 Mr. Mills was born in St. Bernard Parish, LA on January 26, 1940. A Marine Corps veteran, he retired following a long career as a newspaper printer. He was a Catholic by faith.

 He was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Richard, and Roland Mills.

 Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Sandra Huval Mills; two sons, Michael L. Mills, Jr. (wife, Teresa) of Roper, NC and James E. “Jim” Mills (wife, Michele) of Edenton, NC; a sister, Mary Louise Schneider of Louisiana; four grandchildren, Jimmy Mills (wife, Ellen Thompson), Cody Mills, Moriah Clarke (husband, Ryan), and Clayton Mills, (wife, Mackinsey); three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Catherine, and Koda; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

 Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by Pastor Jay Rivenbark. A private burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home immediately following the chapel service.
