Megan Coker Swartz

   Megan Elizabeth Coker Swartz, 31, of 1437 Holly Neck Road, Roper, NC, died Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Ahoskie Health & Rehabilitation.

   Megan was born in Washington County on March 16, 1992 and was the daughter of Lonnie W. and Cindy Leary Coker of Roper. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Margaret and Luther Leary; paternal grandparents, Theodore and Alice Coker; an uncle, Eddie Coker; and by a cousin who was more like a brother, Luke Leary.

   In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children that she adored and loved dearly, Braden Thomas, Aubrey Faith, and Kaden Joseph Harmon Coker. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Cindy F. Coker of Rocky Mount, Nevis and Jamie Leary and Thomas and Rita Tarkenton, all of Roper; and cousins, extended family, and many friends.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30th, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by the Rev. Royce Williams. The private burial will be in Hillside Memorial Gardens in Plymouth. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home immediately following the chapel service, or all other times at the residence.
