Mary Bunch Barrow

   Mary Bunch Barrow, 92, of Edenton, NC, died Thursday, November 5, 2020, in Edenton Primetime.

   Mrs. Barrow was born in Chowan County on April 2, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Joseph Alexander and Callie Goodwin Bunch. A retired inspector with George C. Moore Company, she was a member of Edenton Baptist Church.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack H. Barrow; her sister, Jessie Ruth Hutchcroft; her brother, Joseph Lee Bunch; and by a son-in-law, Ronnie Sawyer.

   Surviving are three children, Harriet Sawyer Rountree and husband, Ronnie, Mary Jo Bass and husband, Donald, and John Scott Barrow and wife, Nancy, all of Edenton; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Sawyer Tynch (Wayne), Boni Sawyer Revelle (Dexter), Jonathan Bass, Megan Bass Overton (Brett), Leslie S. Fuller (Blake), Judson S. Smith (Lauren), and Chris Rountree (Julie); and nine great-grandchildren, Allen, Callie, Nolan, Ethan, Holden, Sydney, Parker, Ella Kate, and Emmalynn.

   A graveside funeral will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in Beaver Hill Cemetery and will be conducted by her pastor, The Rev. David Brooks. The family will visit with friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

   In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Edenton Baptist Church, 200 S. Granville Street, Edenton, NC 27932.
