   Marion Baynor DesJardins, 83, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020, in Edenton, NC.

   Marion was born in Washington County, NC to Garland and Martha Baynor on May 7, 1936. She grew up in Eastern NC but lived most of her life in Edenton where she was a very active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. A well-known businesswoman and entrepreneur with tireless energy, she was also known for her numerous lifelong friendships, and her love of the area children, many of whom she stayed in touch with her entire life.

   Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Lee DesJardins.

   Marion is survived by her son, Terry Thrower and wife, Linda; granddaughter Christina Thrower; grandson, William Thrower; and her beloved dog, Sammi. Also surviving are her brother, “Buddy” Baynor, and sister, Judy Edwards.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25th, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 100 W. Gale Street, Edenton, with The Reverend J. Malone Gilliam officiating.

   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of choice.

   Marion’s family extends their sincere thanks to all her cherished friends. And special thanks to Sherry Warren, and Brigid and Dan Bohl for their love, support, and guidance during this time of need.
