Margie Lancaster Perry

   Margie Lancaster Perry, 72, of 1347 Folly Road, Plymouth, NC, died Monday, August 28, 2023 in Select Specialty Hospital at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham.

   Mrs. Perry was born in Wayne County on January 31, 1951 and was the daughter of the late Charlie H., Sr. and Vera Mae Snell Lancaster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Haywood A. Perry; her fiancé, Gary Brabble; and two grandchildren, Haywood Potter and Ivey Grace Price.

   Surviving are her children, Vera Perry Lassiter (Terry) of Plymouth; Margie Perry-Askew (Douglas) of Winton, and Gary Brabble of Plymouth; her longtime companion, Phillip Ray Lane of Plymouth; her sister, Kaye Paul of Creswell; two brothers, Paul Lancaster of Creswell and Charlie Lancaster of Felda, FL; four grandchildren, Leanna Perry (Larry), Justin Potter, Hayden Perry, and Tristan Brabble; and a great-grandson, Levi Mattingly. Also surviving are her husband Haywood’s children and their families from his first marriage.

   In accordance with her wishes, a small private ceremony celebrating her life will be held in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton. She will be buried next to her husband in the Scuppernong Church of Christ Cemetery.
