Maizel Leary “Sug” Dunlow, 81, of 353 Mexico Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, in her home.
Mrs. Dunlow was born in Chowan County on March 18, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Patrick Leary and Sadie Mae Mizelle Leary Davis. Retired as a Loom Operator from George C. Moore Company, she was a member of First Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Dunlow; two sisters, Iris Jean Dail and Hazel Severance; and by a brother, William Ike “Ikey” Davis.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon D. Bond and husband, H.L.; her son, Ronald C. “Pee Wee” Dunlow and fiance`, Shannon Decker, all of Edenton; a brother, Samuel Kader “Sandy” Davis of Statesville; three grandchildren, Shannon Bond, H.L. Bond, Jr., and Keith Brickhouse; and six great-grandchildren, Sadie and Skylar Biggs, Ariel, Weston, and Quinton Bond, and Peyton Brickhouse.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, and will be conducted by the Rev. Thomas Biggs. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home, and other times at Sharon and H.L.’s home, 1344 Macedonia Road, Edenton.
