Lyndon O'Neal White

   Lyndon O’Neal White, 99, of 252 Ridge Road, Belvidere, NC, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, Elizabeth City.

   Mr. White was born in Perquimans County on October 17, 1924 and was the son of the late Archie Bell and Blanche Winslow White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry D. White, three sisters, Marjorie W. Casey (husband, J. Frank, deceased), Patricia W. Dillon (husband, Eugene, deceased), and Mary Frances W. Twiddy, and a brother-in-law, Charlie Skinner.

   A lifelong farmer, he had also been employed as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was an Army veteran having served in World War II. A member of Up River Friends Meeting, other membership enjoyed included the William Paul Stallings Post 126 of the American Legion.

   Surviving is his wife of 80 years, Eloise Winslow White; two sons, James O. White and Archie L. White, both Belvidere; a sister, Thelma W. Skinner of Hertford; a brother-in-law, Pat Twiddy of Hope Mills; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

   A memorial service will be held at a later date. Friends may join the family at the residence.
