Lisa Pearl Ashley Eure, 57, of 230 Greenhall Road, Edenton, NC, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018, in Vidant Chowan Hospital.
Lisa was born in Chowan County on July 12, 1961, and was the daughter of Lois Harrell Ashley of Edenton, and the late Thurman Leon Ashley. A former contract specialist with A.R. Chesson Construction Company, she was a member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church, The Partners in Christ Sunday School Class, the Zona Whiteman Circle, and in earlier years chaired the church social committee, served in the children’s department, and sang in both the choir and the group, “Three for One”.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Fenton Towe Eure, III; their children, Caroline Elizabeth Eure Farmer and husband, Adam, of Aulander, and Fenton Towe Eure, IV and wife, Allison, of Edenton; granddaughters, Sydney Brynn Eure, Fenlee Sage Eure and Ainsley Grace Farmer; her sister, Belva Ashley White and husband, Oscar, of Edenton; and her faithful canine companion, Bentley.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Rocky Hock Baptist Church, and will be conducted by the Rev. Dean Harrell. A private burial will follow in the family cemetery near the home. Friends may join the family Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. in Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and other times at the residence.
Flowers are welcomed, or contributions in her memory may be made to the building fund of Rocky Hock Baptist Church, 113 Rocky Hock Church Road, Edenton, NC 27932, or to one’s favorite charity.
