Linda Baker Lewis

   Linda Baker Lewis, 66, of Wake Forest, NC, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018.

   Mrs. Lewis was born in Chowan County on November 26, 1952, and was the daughter of the late James Sanford Baker and Evelyn LeBars Baker Jordan. Raised in Perquimans County, she was a graduate of East Carolina University, and in earlier years had been employed as a Medical Technologist with Nash General Hospital. Later she devoted all her time to her family as a dedicated homemaker and school volunteer. When the children were grown, she worked at Wake County Department of Health and later at Grifols. She was a Catholic by faith.

   Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Rusty Lewis; a daughter, Brittany Lewis; a son, Daniel Lewis; and two sisters, Gabrielle Pryor and Pat Alexander.

   Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Chapel, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and will be conducted by Pastor Jay Rivenbark.  Burial will be in Cedarwood Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation in the funeral home the hour prior to the services on Sunday.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association.
