Lewis Edward Bunch, 91, of 408 Rocky Hock Creek Road, Edenton, NC, died Friday, January 3, 2025, in Three Rivers Nursing & Rehabilitation, Windsor.
Mr. Bunch was born in Chowan County on June 5, 1933, and was the son of the late Thomas Edward and Lena Bass Bunch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Lorene Ashley Bunch; and by a sister, Lillie Mae Rogerson.
A retired farmer, he was a faithful member of Rocky Hock Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, a Sunday School teacher, and on the Property & Grounds Committee. Other areas of service included his two years in the United States Army.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna B. Peele (husband, Ted) of Edenton and Angie B. Peek (husband, Brian) of Cornelia, GA; four sisters, Ruby Long of Greenville, Etta Rea Riddick of Corapeake, Pattie Lou Hollowell of Suffolk, VA, and Peggy Ward of Tyner; three grandchildren, Brandi Lynch (husband, Greg), Luke Peele (wife, Tori), and Nikolai Peek; and other extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 7th, at 11:00 a.m. in Rocky Hock Baptist Church and will be conducted by Pastor Matt Dupuy. The private burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family at the residence.
