Lee Fields, Sr.

   James Lee Fields, Sr., 60, of Hertford, NC, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 in ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville.

   Lee was born in Norfolk, VA on October 9, 1963, and was the son of Ellen Smith Hollowell and the late John Arthur Fields. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Keene. The retired owner and operator of Fields Air Conditioning, Heating & Plumbing, he loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.

   Surviving is his wife of 39 years, Susan Neisinger Fields; two sons, James Lee Fields, Jr. (Krystal) and Jesse Curtis Fields; two grandchildren, Dominic Achee and Annora Fields; a sister, Angie Wine; two brothers, Mark and David Fields; and several nieces.

   A gathering and time of visitation will be held Saturday, December 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the residence, 109 Juniper Street, Hertford.

   Memorial contributions may be made to any chapter of the SPCA.
