Kelly Edwards

   Arthur Kelly Edwards, 76, of 2260 Weston Road, Creswell, NC, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 in his home where he was cared for by his family.

   Mr. Edwards was born in Washington County on February 26, 1945, and was the son of the late Rev. Mitchell E. Edwards, Sr. and Myrtle Mae Roberson Edwards. A graduate of Chowan College, he was retired from M.E. Edwards & Sons, Inc., and was a member of Philippi Church of Christ.

   Surviving is his wife of nearly 55 years, Judy Baynor Edwards; a daughter, Judy Lynn Edwards of Creswell; two sons, James Kelly Edwards (wife, Lisa) of Creswell and Bobby Mitchell Edwards (wife, Jamie) of Murrells Inlet, SC; two sisters, Corine Berry of Plymouth and Rosa Harris of Roper; and a brother, Mitchell E. “Les” Edwards, Jr. of Roper. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Shelby Jolly (husband, Corey), Nick Edwards, Duncan Edwards (wife, Amber), Sean Askew, and Kayleigh, Karsyn, and Adalyn Edwards; and one great-granddaughter, Serenity Edwards.

   A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Philippi Church of Christ and will be conducted by Pastor Glenn Brickhouse. Friends are invited to join the family in the social hall immediately following the service, or other times at the residence.
