Katherine Niki Kalagias

   Katherine Niki Kalagias, 77, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 121 Sugar Run Road, Sunbury, NC, where she had recently moved to be with her daughter.

   Ms. Kalagias was born in the Bronx borough of New York City on March 24, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Charles Kalagias and Helen Pappis Clark. Retired from property management in a residential apartment complex, she was an avid “cruiser”, having been on 49 cruises to various destinations.

   Surviving are her daughters, Helen Godfrey (husband, Kelly) of Sunbury and Donna Kattau Sanders (husband, Jeff) of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, Eric Campbell (wife, Heather) of Gates, James Kattau of Portsmouth, VA, Katie Kattau of Pensacola, FL, Kelsey Godfrey of York, PA, and Kinlee Godfrey of Chesterfield, VA; and five great-grandsons, Dante, Diego, Dominic, Leland, and Ledger. Also surviving are her siblings, John Kalagias of Arkansas, and Deena Kalagias and Joanna Kalagias, both of Virginia Beach.

   A Celebration of Life service is being planned by the family and those arrangements will be announced on this website when complete.

   Friends may visit with the family at the home of Helen and Kelly, 121 Sugar Run Road, Sunbury.
