Joyce Lewandowski Wilden

   Joyce Patricia Lewandowski Wilden, 77, of Hertford, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in her home where she was being cared for by family.

   Mrs. Wilden was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 10, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy Wilson Lewandowski. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Lillian Armstrong, Gloria Lewandowski, and Delores Joyce, and by a brother, Joseph Lewandowski.

   A homemaker, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and deeply cherished the friendships made with those in the Albemarle Plantation community where she had also been active in its Women's Club. She was a Catholic by faith.

   Surviving is her husband of nearly 59 years, Fred Wilden; a daughter, Christine Ciavolella (husband, Mike) of Midlothian, VA; a son, Michael Wilden (wife, Janine) of Ashburn, VA; a brother, Edward Lewandowski of Augusta, GA; and four grandchildren, Robert and Samantha Wilden, and Lauren and Matthew Ciavolella.

   A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Anne Catholic Church. Friends may visit with the family in the Parish Hall immediately following the service.
