Joshua Paul Copeland

 Joshua Paul “Josh” Copeland, 26, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024, in his home.

 Josh was born in Chowan County on December 13, 1997, and was the son of Arthur David and Sarah Narron Copeland of Hertford. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Copeland, paternal grandparents, Arthur Minnis and Lillian May Burroughs Copeland, and by his maternal grandparents, Leslie Lee and Sarah Louvinia Caddy Narron.

 Employed for several years as a restaurant cook, he was a member of Berea Church of Christ.

 Surviving in addition to his parents is his brother, David Copeland (wife, Allison) of Hertford; three half-brothers, Jason Copeland of Hertford, Grant Copeland and Adam Copeland, both of New Hampshire; a niece, Casey Copeland of Hertford, two nephews, Jacob Copeland of Hertford and Taylor Copeland of Edenton; and extended family members and friends.

 Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 8, at 11:00 a.m. in Berea Church of Christ and will be conducted by Minister Lee Modlin. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 7, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, and in the social hall of the church immediately following the service.
