Joseph Benedict Brucia

   Joseph Benedict Brucia, 91, of 98 Pembroke Circle, Edenton, NC, died Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in ECU Health Chowan Hospital.

   Mr. Brucia was born on Long Island in New York, and was the son of the late Benedict and Marion Blasso Brucia.

   Before retirement and moving from Long Island, he worked as a real estate broker and appraiser.

   A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the United States Marine Corps. As long as health permitted, he was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

   Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Lorraine Morris Brucia; two daughters, Meghan Elizabeth Brucia of Asheville and Amy Victoria Brucia of Raleigh; a son, Robert Charles Brucia (wife, Eva Marie) of Fuquay-Varina; a sister, Rose Marie Goodwin of Red Hook, NY; and four grandchildren, Mariella Jane Nugen, Sophia Lorraine Brucia, Joseph Benedict Brucia II, and Vincent Santino Brucia.

   In accordance with his wishes, no service is planned.
