   Jo Ann Stout Vadon, 82, of 320 Blackbeard’s Road, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 in ECU Health Cowan Hospital, Edenton.

   Mrs. Vadon was born in Mercer County, NJ on February 28, 1941, and was the daughter of the late John Henry and Ella Rose Calabrese Stout. A retired clerk from the New Jersey State of Student Assistance, upon her move to Edenton she attended and enjoyed fellowship in Countryside Church of Christ.

   Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Charles Leslie Vadon; two daughters, Vickie Ann Lutz (husband, Jeff) of Boonton Township, NJ and Debbie Lee Repscher of Clinton, CT; a son, Scott Alan Vadon (wife, Janet) of Omaha, NE; two sisters, Rosemary Leavens of Jackson, NJ and Anna May Sager of Edenton; five grandchildren, Charles and Zakre Repscher, Evan and Ava Lutz, and Erik Furst; and three great-grandchildren.

   A visitation will be held Saturday, July 1, from 9 to 10 a.m. in Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A private burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in New Jersey.

   A celebration of her life will be held in Countryside Church of Christ at a later date.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Countryside Church, 100 Countryside Drive, Edenton, NC 27932.
