Belvidere, NC---

Mr. Turner was born in Perquimans County on August 8, 1945, and was the son of the late Rudy Lee Turner and Lillie Mae Smith Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cheryl Joyce Turner, a sister, Yvonne McCotter, brothers, Gaston and Ted Turner (Kathy, deceased); and by brothers-in-law, Ambrose Layden and Blackwell Powell.

Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford. A private burial will follow in the family cemetery near the home.
